Warriors vs. Spurs Prediction
Western Conference foes will meet in San Antonio on Monday night when the Spurs host the Warriors at 8:00 p.m. ET. After Golden State just played a relatively low-scoring game in OKC over the weekend, will the Warriors’ matchup tonight with the Spurs also turn into a defensive struggle?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Warriors are 2.5-point favorites to beat the Spurs. The total, meanwhile, sits at 223.5 points and as of this writing, 71% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Warriors to cover the point spread.
Golden State Warriors Fantasy Spin
Stephen Curry netted 33 points in 33 minutes on Saturday, adding five triples, seven boards, three assists, two steals and four turnovers in an easy win over the Thunder. Curry scored his 16,000th career point in this one, becoming just the fifth player in Warriors’ history with 16,000 career points, and with his five trey-bombs, he improved his season total to 289 – which ranks as the fourth-most threes in a single season in NBA history. Steve Kerr hinted he could rest some of his stars on the upcoming Monday-Tuesday back-to-back set, so owners will want to confirm Curry’s status prior to both those games.
San Antonio Spurs Fantasy Spin
It took some time, but Jakob Poeltl has finally adjusted to the Spurs and their style of play. “There was just a time early in the season when I always wasn’t 100 percent comfortable knowing what’s going out there,” Poeltl said. “The rotation kept changing and stuff like that; it’s just tough to play through stuff like that.” Poeltl, coming off of back-to-back five-block games, is finally comfortable in San Antonio, as well as playing alongside LaMarcus Aldridge. Once he was able to settle in and get out of his own way, his aggressiveness returned. Poeltl might not be locked in the starting lineup due to matchup concerns, but he has solidified his place in the rotation, for sure.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are 4-11 against the spread in their last 15 games overall and have covered just once in their last nine games following a win.
San Antonio
The Spurs are 5-1 against the number in their last six home games and are a perfect 5-0 against the spread in their last five games overall.
Prediction
It’s tempting to take the points with a Spurs team that a) plays extremely well at home and b) is getting points. That said, I don’t want to fade the champs when they’re in the midst of getting hot again. Given the way both teams can play defense, I like the under, which is 4-1 in the previous five meetings in San Antonio. The under is also a perfect 7-0 in the Warriors’ last seven games overall and is 4-0 in their last four games away from Oracle Arena. On the other side, the under cashed in eight of the Spurs’ previous nine games and is 6-1 in their last seven home games.
Monday NBA Prediction: Warriors/Spurs under 223.5
