Utah opened as a 14.5-point favorite before the spread widened by another point, while the total has come down from 200. The spread is set at -15.5 at most books, but can be found at -15. The total is at 198 points at most books, but is also at 197.5 if you shop around.
As of Saturday afternoon, 62 percent of public bets are being placed on the Jazz. Online wager info also shows that 52 percent of bets are coming in on the under.
INJURY TO WATCH
Kings shooting guard Iman Shumpert (foot) is out indefinitely) while power forward Harry Giles (knees) is out for the season. For Utah, point guard Ricky Rubio (knee) is questionable. Center Tony Bradley (brain injury) is out indefinitely, while point guard Raul Neto (wrist) is out until late March.
In a scheduling quirk, the last four meetings over the last two seasons have all been in Sacramento and yet the Jazz have managed to win all four meetings straight up including 120-105 and 98-91 victories this season. Utah has been steamrolling everyone on its eight-game winning streak, winning the last six games by at least 14 points. With the Kings having played last night and beating a very depleted Warriors team by a 98-93 win at Golden State, the Jazz will be the fresher team with a day of rest. Sacramento probably views beating Golden State as a monumental achievement despite Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson all being out with injuries. Look for Utah to lock down another opponent in impressive fashion and cover the huge spread.
