Lakers vs. Pistons Prediction
The Pistons have dropped two straight games but will likely add to their win column on Friday night when they host the Lakers at 7:00 p.m. ET. Is the over the best play on the board tonight in Detroit?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Pistons are 11-point favorites to beat the Lakers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 216 points and as of this writing, 60% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Lakers to cover the point spread.
Los Angeles Lakers Fantasy Spin
LeBron James played 32 minutes in a 111-98 loss to the Raptors on Thursday, adding four rebounds, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer. He did not play in the final 2:18 with the Lakers only down 10, and chances are LeBron would’ve been out there under normal circumstances. He is expected to be around 28-32 minutes, and he may sit out on Friday in a back-to-back set in Detroit on Friday night. James’ fantasy owners are going to have to check back to see if he’s active going forward, but he might suit up until the Lakers are mathematically eliminated.
Detroit Pistons Fantasy Spin
Reggie Jackson (right ankle) had an obvious limp following Wednesday’s loss in Miami. Jackson was forced out of Wednesday’s game after tweaking his ankle during the fourth quarter, and while he downplayed the injury to reporters after the game, he required assistance to the showers and was sporting an obvious limp in the Pistons’ locker room. The good news is that he was walking around without crutches and didn’t receive any extra attention from Detroit’s medical staff, but there’s a chance he’ll need to skip Friday’s game against the Lakers. Ish Smith will be someone to think about streaming if R-Jax sits.
NBA Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Lakers are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games overall and are 1-6 against the number. in their last seven road games.
Detroit
The Pistons are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games and 7-0 at the betting window in their last seven home games.
Prediction
LeBron has been ruled out for tonight’s game and so has Tyson Chandler, although Lance Stephenson is probable. No matter, I like the over, which is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Detroit. The over is also a perfect 7-0 in the Pistons’ last seven home games and is 10-4 in their last 14 games overall.
