Heat vs. Raptors Prediction
The Raptors have been nearly unbeatable at home and will host a potentially fatigued Heat squad tonight at 7:00PM ET.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv currently list Toronto as a 5.5-point home favorite after the Raptors opened as a 6.5-point favorite for tonight's game. As for the total, the number opened at 199 but has been bet up to 200.5.
The Raptors are averaging 107.1 points and shooting 47.9 percent from the field during a 14-1 stretch at home. Toronto can get within two games of Cleveland in the Eastern Conference and are led by DeMar DeRozan, who is averaging 28.6 points in his last five games. Kyle Lowry has also scored 27 points per game.
The Heat are hoping Dwyane Wade will be able to go in the second of back-to-back games but even if he does play, DeRozan has gotten the best of D-Wade in the past two meetings between these two teams. DeRozan finished with 30 points in a 108-94 win at Miami on December 18 and then posted 33 points at home in a January matchup.
Miami has failed to cover in four of the last five meetings between these two teams while the favorite is 9-3 against the spread in the last 12 meetings and the home team has covered in five of the last seven. The Raptors are also a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five home games versus a team with a winning road record (the Heat are 17-15 on the road this season).
