Visitors hoping to regain momentum
A week ago, Boston moved within striking distance of the top seed in the Eastern Conference by downing Cleveland. But things have been rough for Isaiah Thomas & Co. ever since that huge triumph.
The Celtics will aim to snap a two-game skid tonight, with a 10:30 p.m. ET tip against Golden State. Online sports book Bovada.lv, however, gives the Warriors odds of -370 to take care of business at home. Beantown’s finest, on the other hand, represent +285 underdogs.

While the Celts led for portions of Monday’s meeting with the Clippers, Los Angeles eventually emerged with a 116-102 win. Coach Brad Stevens clearly missed the interior presence of Al Horford, who was held out of the action at Staples Center due to a sprained elbow. All told, however, the Celts simply failed to execute on a number of fronts.
Golden State’s also trying to clean up some minor issues in advance of the playoffs. Steve Kerr’s troops went 3-2 on their first Kevin Durant-less road trip, falling to Chicago and Washington. Klay Thompson’s still in a bit of a rut, too, as evidenced by his .421 shooting percentage over the past 10 tilts.
Obviously, the Dubs tend to ratchet things up a notch when Oracle Arena provides the setting. We wouldn’t expect anything fundamentally different here, particularly considering Boston’s squirrely play of late. Sit back, and get ready for a points parade.
