Nets vs. Timberwolves Prediction
The Nets are coming off an upset win at Denver on Friday night and get an opportunity to cash again for bettors as a road dog when they visit the Timberwolves at 8:00PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Brooklyn is a 5.5-point road underdog at Minnesota for tonight’s game while the over/under is sitting at 214 points. As our NBA odds page indicates, the Nets opened as a 4.5-point favorite before the line jumped a full point, while the total opened at 214 before falling to 213.
The Nets have covered in five of their last six games, all of which have come on the road. They’re also 5-1 ATS in their last six games versus a team with a losing record (Minnesota is just 19-43 on the year) and have covered in five of their last six games versus Western Conference foes.

Both teams are coming off back-to-back games and both teams have struggled playing on no rest. Brooklyn is 1-4 against the spread in its last five games playing on consecutive nights, while Minnesota is just 2-6 ATS in its last eight games off no rest. But the T-Wolves are also 11-27-1 against the number in their last 39 home games and have struggled against losing teams, covering just 19 times in their last 58 games versus teams with a losing record. (Brooklyn is 18-44 overall this season.)
These are two bad teams so it doesn’t make sense to lay 5.5 points on Minnesota. Plus, with Brooklyn’s success covering the road this season, might as well grab the Nets again as a road dog.
