Jazz vs. Pelicans Prediction
The Jazz’s current funk gives bettors an opportunity to lay a small amount of points on the host Pelicans tonight at 7:00PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, New Orleans is now a 2-point home favorite over Utah after opening as a 1-point fave. The total, meanwhile, has dropped a full 1.5 points from 199 down to 197.5. (Shop lines for all of tonight’s NBA games.)
The Jazz have been horrible at the betting window of late, failing to cover in seven straight games and going 0-6 against the number in their last six road games. They’re also 0-5 ATS in their last five games versus Western Conference opponents and have failed to cover the spread in 11 of their last 12 road games against teams with a winning home record. (New Orleans is 16-14 at home this season.)
The Pelicans are coming off a 94-86 loss to the Spurs but they’re also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following a loss and have covered in back-to-back games despite losing three in a row. Anthony Davis has struggled recently but nearly the entire Jazz lineup is in a funk so Davis’ recent woes won’t be an issue tonight.
