Can Hornets continue winning ways?
A pair of 32-win teams battle it out tonight as the Charlotte Hornets host the Indiana Pacers at 7PM ET. Which team will come out with a cover?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Hornets are the slight favorite at home today, as they are getting odds of -3 points against the Pacers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 200 points.
Charlotte is 32-28 overall, 20-9 at home and 31-28-1 against the spread. Indiana is 32-29 overall, 14-18 on the road and 30-30-1 against the spread. Charlotte has won and covered the spread in both meetings with Indiana this season, both of which were road games. The Hornets are 6-1-1 against the spread in their last eight games against the Pacers.
The Hornets are on a roll as of late, winning eight of their last 10 to climb up to sixth in the Eastern Conference. They have also won three straight at home but have been on the road for seven of their last eight. That should be a good boost for them tonight as they return home to face the Pacers, who are just 2-4 in their last six. Charlotte has gone 21-16-1 against the spread on a day of rest, which isn’t great, but Indiana is 16-19-1 ATS in the same scenario. With the spread just a few points, look for the Hornets to build on their hot streak and get by the Pacers with some cushion tonight.
