Timberwolves vs. Wizards Prediction
The Timberwolves have been a terrible team on the road this year, losing 23 of their 32 contests away from home court. That said, will they get it done tonight on the road when they visit the struggling Wizards at 6:00 p.m. ET?
Game Snapshot
585 Minnesota Timberwolves at 586 Washington Wizards
6:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, March 3, 2019
Capital One Arena, Washington, D.C.

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Wizards are 1.5-point favorites to beat the Timberwolves. The total, meanwhile, sits at 238.5 points and as of this writing, 62% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Wizards to cover the point spread.
Minnesota Timberwolves Fantasy Spin
Andrew Wiggins made just 4-of-14 shots (3-of-5 FTs) for 11 points, adding six rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 38 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday. Wiggins has struggled of late, scoring just 15.0 points with 5.4 boards, 2.4 dimes, 1.2 blocks, 0.6 steals and 1.8 triples on 37.8% shooting across his last five games. In that time frame, he falls just barely inside the top-200. To make things worse for Minnesota, everyone but Karl-Anthony Towns has been ice cold of late as the team watching their playoff hopes slowly fade away.
Washington Wizards Fantasy Spin
Bradley Beal scored 29 points (12-of-23 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs) with 11 rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and four triples in a 107-96 loss to Boston on Friday. That’s his sixth game of the season with double-digit rebounds and his 10th double-double. Beal was unstoppable in February with 30.9 points, 6.8 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 2.4 triples and has been doing everything he can to keep his team afloat in the East. With the Wizards trailing the No. 8 seed (Charlotte) by four losses, Beal will continue to carry his team and his fantasy owners — he’s been a top-5 asset in standard leagues for the past month.
NBA Betting Trends
Minnesota
The Timberwolves are 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games versus an opponent with a winning home record.
Washington
The Wizards have dropped seven of their last nine games at the betting window coming off a loss of more than 10 points.
Prediction
The Wizards are mired in a 10-game funk where they have only won three times, but I don’t trust the T-Wolves on the road. The home team has covered the spread in 12 of the previous 17 meetings between these two teams while the favorite is 20-9 at the betting window in the last 29 meetings. The Timberwolves, meanwhile, are 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 trips to D.C. and have failed to cover the number in seven of their previous 10 games following a loss. Despite their struggles, the Wizards are 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 home games.
Sunday NBA Prediction: Washington Wizards -1.5
