Nets profitable as road dogs, visit Clippers
The Nets have been a solid bet to cover as a road underdog but will the Clippers be too much for Brooklyn when the two teams meet in L.A. tonight at 10:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Clippers are 12.5-point home favorites versus the Nets while the total has shot up from 208 up to 211.5. Brooklyn enters play with a 17-42 record but is 30-28 against the spread, which includes a 6-4 ATS mark over its last 10 games. Los Angeles, meanwhile, is 38-20 on the year and 29-26 against the number. The Clippers are also 6-4 ATS over their last 10 games.
As previously mentioned, the Nets have been a solid play as a road underdog this season. They’ve been a dog on the road a total of 26 times in 2015-16 and covered in 16 of those games, losing by an average margin of 7.4 points.

While that average margin might be eye-popping, it goes to show you that oddsmakers have consistently inflated the number when it comes to Brooklyn games this season. If they stick to that average, they’ll cover the spread of tonight’s game easily.
The Nets are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight games versus the Clippers and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games. Brooklyn, despite its awful record, is a value play again as a road dog.
