Spurs vs. Jazz Prediction
One night after thumping the Kings in Sacramento the Spurs will visit the Jazz at 10:30PM ET. Will it be another win and cover for San Antonio as a road favorite?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Spurs are 3-point road favorites versus the Jazz for tonight’s game. San Antonio enters play with a 48-9 record and is 20-9 on the road, while Utah is 28-28 overall and 16-13 at home.
Both of these teams are 4-6 against the spread over their last 10 games while San Antonio is 9-1 straight up over that stretch and Utah is 7-3. The Spurs are also 35-22 at the betting window this season and 16-13 ATS on the road, while the Jazz are 28-28 straight up and 16-13 ATS at home.

The key to tonight’s play is the fact that the Spurs will be playing on back-to-back nights. This is an older team with a head coach in Gregg Popovich that will always play it safe with his veterans. Tim Duncan also failed to score while playing 12 minutes on Wednesday night, which marked the second time in his career that he’s been active without any points. Kawki Leonard said that he wasn’t bothered by his recent calf injury against the Kings, but he couldn’t find much rhythm himself on offense. (Track NBA injuries for all teams here.)
The Spurs are winless at 0-4 against the spread in their last four games when playing on no rest. They’ve also failed to cover in four of their last five road games, four of their last five overall, and are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games played on Thursday for one reason or another. The Jazz, meanwhile, have covered the spread in 10 of their last 11 home games when playing a team with a winning road record. Bet on Utah playing up tonight.
