Hawks look for third straight

Atlanta is coming off a 111-107 win at home over Dallas. The Hawks also beat Miami coming out of the break for a two-game win streak. Atlanta is now 17-41 on the season, 6-24 on the road, 27-30-1 against the spread and 34-24 with the over.

The Hawks are giving up 118.8 points per game on defense while opponents shoot 47.5 percent from the field. Offensively, Atlanta is putting up 110.5 points per game while shooting 44.8 percent from the field. Trae Young is leading Atlanta with 30.0 points and 9.2 assists per game. John Collins is adding 20.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per contest.

76ers strong at home

Philly is coming off a 119-98 loss at Milwaukee on Saturday, but the 76ers had won four straight, all at home, prior to that. Philadelphia is now 35-21 on the season, 26-2 at home, 23-30-4 against the spread and 29-27-1 with the under.

The 76ers are giving up just 106.4 points per game while opponents shoot 45.5 percent from the field. Philadelphia is putting up 108.5 points per game while shooting 46.3 percent from the floor. Philly is without Ben Simmons (back) tonight and is Tobias Harris (knee) is doubtful. Harris averages 18.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, while Simmons averages 16.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists per contest. Joel Embiid is leading Philly with 23.1 points and 12.0 rebounds per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Atlanta

The Hawks are 5-13 against the spread in their last 18 road games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games following a win.

Philadelphia

The 76ers are 7-2 against the spread in their last nine home games, but just 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a loss.

Prediction:

Atlanta has split the two games with Philly this year, both in Atlanta. However, the Hawks did cover in both games. The Hawks actually have covered in five straight against the 76ers. Philly has a great record at home, but the 76ers are without some big pieces and they are a team that has struggled offensively even at full health. The Hawks certainly aren’t a consistent team, but they have the ability to score behind Trae Young. They took advantage of the Mavs without Doncic and Porzingis on Saturday, and I think they can do enough to cover this spread against a short-handed Philly team.

NBA Prediction: Atlanta Hawks +8
