Can the Nuggets cover at Clippers?
Will the Clippers suffer a letdown when they take on the struggling Nuggets tonight at 10:30PM ET as a double-digit home favorite?
Denver has lost three straight games and four of its last six in route to a 22-35 overall record, while Los Angeles is trending the opposite way while winning seven of its last 10 overall. The Clippers are also 37-19 on the year and 3.5 games back of the Thunder for third place in the Western Conference.
After opening as a 10-point home favorite the Clippers are now 10.5-point faves for tonight’s game against the Nuggets according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv. As for the total, it opened at 212.5 but has jumped to 213.5.

Prediction
The Clippers have covered in three straight games, all of which have come at home, including as 4-point home underdogs in a 115-112 loss to the Warriors on February 20. The Nuggets are fading in the opposite direction, losers of three in a row both straight up and against the spread.
But this is also a natural letdown game for Los Angeles. Not only are the Clippers taking on a sub-par Nuggets team but this is also the finale of their four-game home stand before they have to travel to Sacramento for a date with the Kings on Friday.
The road team is actually 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams and despite their most recent troubles at the betting window, the Nuggets have covered the spread in six of their last eight road games.
