Spurs vs. Kings Prediction
Are the Spurs overpriced tonight as a sizable road favorite at the Kings? The two teams will tip-off from Sacramento at 10:30PM ET.
San Antonio is 47-9 on the year and 34-22 at the betting window, but the Spurs have struggled against the spread of late. Despite being 8-2 overall over their last 10 games, Tony Parker and Co. failed to cover the number in seven of those contests.
Of course, Sacramento hasn’t been a very good bet either. The Kings have lost six of their last 10 games and are 3-7 against the spread over that span. They’re also just 12-14 against the spread at home this year and 25-30 ATS overall in 2015-16.
But despite their lousy ATS numbers, we still like the Kings to cover tonight as a 7.5-point home underdog (line courtesy of online sports book BetDSI). The Spurs are winless at 0-4 against the spread in their last four games and are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games coming off a win. They’re also winless at 0-6 ATS in their last six games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
Not surprisingly, public bettors absolutely love the Spurs tonight despite laying a sizable number on the road team. But our Power Rating Line has San Antonio as a 4-point favorite so we see value in the home dog.
