Pacers vs. Heat Prediction
Two teams that have played very well over their last 10 games will square off in Miami tonight when the Heat host the Pacers at 7:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Heat are now 1-point home favorites over the Pacers after the line opened with Miami listed as a 1.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number hasn’t been released as of this writing but the over/under will eventually be posted on our NBA Odds page so make sure you continue to check back.
Both of these teams are 7-3 straight up over their last 10 games, respectively, although Miami has been slightly better at the betting window. While Indiana is 5-4-1 against the spread over its last 10 games, Miami has covered the number in seven of its last 10 games.
Prediction
Dwyane Wade is once again questionable due to his ailing left knee but even though he and Chris Bosh (blood clot in his left calf) have missed time the Heat have thrived. With Wade and Bosh out of the lineup, Miami has sped up the pace and averaged 114.5 points in back0-to-back wins.
In the absence of Wade and Bosh, Luol Deng is averaging 28.5 points and 10.5 rebounds. In the team’s win over the Wizards on Saturday, point guard Goran Dragic racked up a season-high 24 points to go along with eight assists and seven rebounds so he too has benefited from the Heat’s faster-pace style.
With the Pacers having played Sunday in Orlando, fatigue could be an issue tonight in Miami. The expectation is Indiana will keep things close early but will Miami’s pace be an issue the later the game gets? The Heat are 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games and a perfect 7-0 ATS in their last seven games versus Eastern Conference opponents.
The price is right with Miami tonight, as you can see in our advanced matchup report that shows the Heat are -2 on our power rating line.
