According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant is the favorite to win the honor, as he has 5/2 odds. The other short odds to win are LeBron James (15/4) and Stephen Curry (6/1).

The biggest key is to be on the winning team, and the West has won the last three All-Star Games.

Durant won this honor in 2012 and he comes into this game leading the league in scoring, averaging 31.5 points per game. He also averages 7.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per contest.

LeBron is a two-time All-Star Game MVP winner. He won in 2008 and 2006. James is third in the league in scoring, averaging 26.5 points per game. He also is posting 7.0 rebounds and 6.6 assists per contest.

Curry is fifth in the league in scoring, averaging 24.6 points per game. He also adds in 4.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists per contest. He also is the top 3-point shooter in the NBA, making a league-best 3.4 per game. Curry is seeking his first MVP honor.
