NBA Skills Challenge Odds
NEW ORLEANS, LA (The Spread) – Which pairing is favored to win the 2014 NBA Skills Challenge this year? Let’s check out the odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the pairing of Damian Lillard and Trey Burke, as well as the pairing of Goran Dragic and Reggie Jackson are +175 money line favorites to win the NBA Skills Challenge. The other two pairings of DeMar DeRozan and Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Michael Carter-Williams and Victor Oladipo are both +325, respectively.
Lillard has averaged 20.7 points per game, 5.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds for the Blazers this season, while Burke has averaged 12.5 PPG, 5.5 APG and 3.1 RPG for the Jazz. Dragic is currently averaging 20.3 points, 6.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game for the Suns, while Jackson has posted 13.6 PPG, 3.7 RPG and 4.2 APG for the Thunder.
As for the underdogs, DeRozan is averaging 22.4 points per game, 3.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds for the Raptors, while Antetokounmpo has averaged 6.9 PPG, 1.7 APG and 4.5 RPG for the Bucks. Carter-Williams has posted a line of 17.1 PPG, 6.5 APG and 5.4 RPG for the Sixers, while his Skills Challenge teammate Oladipo is averaging 13.9 PPG, 4.0 APG and 4.4 RPG for the Magic.
Lillard posted a victory in last year’s Skills Challenge while Tony Parker won in 201-12. Stephen Curry won in 2010-11, while Steve Nash won in both 2009-10 and 2004-05, while Derrick Rose won in 2008-09.
This year’s Skill Challenge will take place Saturday, February 15 around 8:30PM ET following the Shooting Stars event. This year’s NBA All-Star Game will follow on Sunday, February 16 at 8:00PM ET.
