Clippers continue road trip

Los Angeles is in the midst of an East Coast road trip. They are 1-1 so far with a loss at Minnesota and then picked up a 133-92 win at Cleveland on Sunday. The Clippers are 37-16 on the season, 15-11 on the road, 29-24 against the spread and 27-25-1 with the under.

The Clippers are putting up 115.8 points per game on offense this season while shooting 46.4 percent from the field. Defensively, Los Angeles is allowing 109.7 points per game while opponents shoot 43.6 percent from the floor. Patrick Beverley is out tonight with a groin injury. He is averaging 8.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game this season. Kawhi Leonard is leading the team with 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest. Paul George is adding 22.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest.

76ers trying to heat up

Philadelphia is coming off a 118-111 win at home over Chicago on Sunday. The 76ers have won two straight, both at home. Philly is 33-21 on the season, 24-2 at home, 21-29-4 against the spread and 27-26-1 with the under.

The 76ers are giving up just 106.3 points per game this season while holding opponents to 45.6 percent shooting. Offensively, Philly is putting up 108.6 points per contest while shooting 46.5 percent from the floor. Joel Embiid is leading the team with 22.8 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. Ben Simmons is adding 16.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 8.3 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Clippers are 10-1 against the spread in their last 11 Tuesday games, but just 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games following a win.

Philadelphia

The 76ers are 0-5 against the spread in their last five games on 1 day of rest and 1-5 ATS in their last six games as an underdog.

Prediction:

These two haven’t met this season, but Philly has covered the spread in seven straight meetings with the Clippers, dating all the way back to 2016. While the 76ers have struggled on the road, they are very solid at home. I think they will play up tonight at home against the strong Clippers. Los Angeles is without one of their best guard defenders, which should allow Philadelphia to be more aggressive on offense and be able to attack the basket.

NBA Prediction: Philadelphia 76ers +1
