Cavs vs. Wizards Prediction
Are the Cavs a good bet to pull off the small upset in Washington tonight when they visit the Wizards at 7:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Wizards are now 1-point home favorites versus the Cavs after the game opened as a pick'em. As for the total, the number hit the board at 220 and that's where it currently sits at the majority of sports books.
Cleveland enters play with a 5-5 record over its last 10 games, covering in just four of those contests. The Cavs have won back-to-back games, however, including a 111-104 victory in New York against the Knicks on Saturday. LeBron James scored 32 points with five rebounds, 10 assists and four 3-pointers in that victory over the Knicks. Kevin Love also chipped in with 23 points and 16 rebounds.
The Wizards remain red-hot, winning nine of their last 10 games and going 9-1 against the spread during that time as well. They've ripped off seven consecutive victories, including a 105-91 win over the Pelicans on Saturday. John Wall was fantastic, scoring 24 points with three rebounds, 13 assists, five steals and one block in the victory over New Orleans.
OUR PREDICTION: The Cavaliers are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games in Washington and are 9-4-1 against the number in their last 14 conference games. They're also 4-0-1 against the spread in their last five games versus Southeast opponents and they should be able to halt the Wizards' winning streak with a big road win tonight.
