According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Lakers are 3-point home underdogs versus the Nuggets after opening as a 3.5-point dog. As for the total, the number also hit the board at 228 and has been bet down to 227.
The Nuggets have won seven of their last 10 games overall and are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games. They’ve won three straight games, including a 123-112 victory at Phoenix on Saturday as a 3.5-point underdog. Danilo Gallinari scored a season-high 32 points on 9-of-14 shooting in their win over the Suns, while Kenneth Faried scored 21 points and nabbed 12 rebounds.
The Lakers have dropped eight of 10 overall and are just 4-6 at the betting window over their last 10 games. They’ve dropped three-straight games, including a 96-88 loss at the Jazz last week. Despite practicing on Monday, Julius Randle will not play tonight against the Nuggets due to having pneumonia. He has been cleared to return to the team and will resume basketball activities, so he should play on Thursday when the Lakers take on the Wizards.
