Heat vs. Nets Prediction
Will the under cash tonight for bettors when the Heat host the Nets at 7:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Heat are now 9-point home favorites versus the Nets after opening as a 10-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 216.5 and has been bet up a full point to 217.5.
The Nets dropped their fifth straight game on Saturday, losing 129-109 at Minnesota as an 11-point underdog. Brook Lopez scored 25 points in the loss, adding seven rebounds, one steal and a 3-pointer in 30 minutes of action. Caris LeVert also added 11 points with four rebounds, one assist and two steals. The nets have now dropped nine of their last 10 games and are just 3-7 at the betting window during that stretch.
The Heat remain red-hot, winning seven in a row and going a perfect 7-0 against the spread over that span. In their 116-103 win over the Pistons on Saturday, Goran Dragic scored 23 points to lead the team, while Dion Waiters scored 17 points while shooting 54.7 percent from the field and 66.7 percent form the 3-point line. Miami is 7-3 overall and 8-2 against the spread in its last 10 games.

OUR PREDICTION: At some point the Heat’s success at the betting window is going to wear out but I’m not going to back a Nets team that couldn’t cover as an 11-point underdog in its last game so let’s take a look at the total. The under is 5-2 in the Heat’s last seven games overall, is 6-1 in their last seven games playing on one day of rest, and is 4-0 in their last four games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. With the Nets road-weary and this being a letdown game for the Heat, I expect a low-scoring affair in Miami tonight.
MONDAY NBA PREDICTION: NETS/HEAT UNDER 217.5
