Jazz come up short against Rockets
Utah ended a four-game win streak in a surprising 126-117 loss at home to Houston on Monday. The Rockets were without James Harden and Russell Westbrook in the contest and Utah was a 14-point favorite. Utah is 32-14 on the season, 14-10 on the road, 25-20-1 against the spread and 24-22 with the over.
The Jazz are a solid defense, allowing 106.2 points per game while opponents shoot 44.5 percent from the field. Donovan Mitchell is leading Utah with 24.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. Rudy Gobert is adding 15.7 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per contest.
Spurs lose three straight
San Antonio is coming off a 110-109 loss at Chicago on Monday for a third consecutive loss. The Spurs are 20-26 on the season, 12-12 on the road, 19-26-1 against the spread and 28-18 with the over.

Defensively, San Antonio is giving up 114.3 points per contest while opponents shoot 46.2 percent against them. The Spurs are to be without LaMarcus Aldridge tonight due to a thumb injury. NBA Betting Trends
Utah
The Jazz are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 road games and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games as a favorite.
San Antonio
The Spurs are 9-23 against the spread in their last 32 home games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Wednesday games.
Prediction:
These two foes haven’t met this season. Monday’s showing for Utah was quite surprising, but I think they just got caught looking past a short-handed Houston team. The Jazz have been playing as well as anyone for the last month and I don’t think Monday is a sign of any trouble. The Spurs will be without Aldridge in the paint, so that should allow Gobert to dominate on both sides of the ball. Utah should be pretty embarrassed following the loss to Houston, so I expect their best tonight.
