Pistons vs. Pelicans Spread Prediction
Over their last 10 games, the Pelicans have been good not only on the hardwood but also at the betting window. That said, are they laying too many points to the visiting Detroit Pistons at 8:00 p.m. ET tonight with Anthony Davis on the shelf?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Pelicans are 4.5-point favorites to beat the Pistons. The total, meanwhile, sits at 220 points and as of this writing, 51% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Pelicans to cover the point spread.
Detroit Pistons Fantasy Spin
Andre Drummond (concussion) will be re-evaluated on Tuesday. Drummond was not present for Tuesday's practice, but he's scheduled to arrive in New Orleans soon, where he'll be re-evaluated. Dwane Casey said that if he passes the concussion protocol, then he'll be cleared for Wednesday's game, which would shift Zaza Pachulia back to the second unit. Owners can expect to get another update following tomorrow's shootaround.
New Orleans Pelicans Fantasy Spin
Anthony Davis will see a hand specialist and there are fears that he suffered a solar plate avulsion fracture in his left index finger, according to his agent, Rich Paul. While that sounds absolutely horrible, if confirmed, it means that Davis would be out anywhere from two to four weeks, theoretically putting him back in action for the fantasy playoffs. It's also possible that he doesn't have a fracture, but at this point, owners should probably plan on Davis missing more time with the injury. Julius Randle should be owned everywhere and Jahlil Okafor, who went off for 20 points, 10 boards and two blocks on Monday, will also be a hot pickup. However, Okafor has proven to be anything but reliable up to this point in his career.
NBA Betting Trends
The Pistons have failed to cover in 10 of their last 14 games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous contest.
The Pelicans are 5-2-1 at the betting window in their last eight games overall.
Even with Davis out the Pelicans should have enough firepower to down a Pistons team that has struggled ATS in this series. Detroit is just 3-10 at the betting window in its last 13 games versus the Pelicans and 2-6 against the spread in its last eight trips to New Orleans. The Pelicans are also 12-5 against the number in their last 17 home games following a road trip of seven or more days and are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games versus a team with a road winning percentage of less than .400.
Wednesday NBA Prediction: New Orleans Pelicans -4.5
