Dallas Mavericks Fantasy Spin
According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Dennis Smith Jr. did not report to the team’s practice facility on Friday morning. Per MacMahon, this was not unexpected, and the Mavs are willing to be patient in an effort to fix the situation, at least temporarily. It was reported on Thursday that DSJ is not expected to play in the next two games against the Pacers and Bucks and Friday’s events seem to confirm that. We should have another update on this sticky situation over the weekend.
Indiana Pacers Fantasy Spin
Victor Oladipo struggled again during a 120-96 loss to the 76ers on Thursday, making 3-of-10 from the field for six points with six rebounds, five assists, two steals and two turnovers in 30 minutes. He still doesn’t quite look right this year and has slowed down recently, too. Oladipo has been stretching more in-game, he doesn’t have the same explosiveness, and his shot is a little flatter. He was actually asked about it after the game. “I’m not injured. If I was injured, I wouldn’t be playing,” he said about concerns on his knee. Dipo hasn’t hit 20 points in any of his last six games with only 0.9 steals per game after his league-leading 2.4 last season. He could be a buy-low option, especially if the All-Star break helps him get right next month.
NBA Betting Trends
Dallas
The Mavericks are 11-4 at the betting window in their last 15 games versus a team with a winning percentage above .600.

Prediction
The Mavericks are just 5-11 against the spread in their last 16 games versus the Pacers and have dropped five of their last seven games ATS in Indiana. The Pacers, meanwhile, have covered in 25 of their last 31 games coming off a double-digit loss at home, are 36-17 against the number in their last 53 games following a loss of any kind and are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games coming off a loss of more than 10 points. Indiana is an excellent rebound play tonight.
