Bucks keep winning
Milwaukee is riding a five-game win streak right now following a 128-123 win over Boston at home. The Bucks ended a three-game cover streak in the win. Milwaukee is 37-6 on the season, 17-4 on the road, 24-19 against the spread and 22-20-1 with the over.
The Bucks have the league’s top offense, as they average 119.6 points per game while shooting 47.9 percent from the field. Defensively, Milwaukee is giving up 107.2 points per game while holding opponents to a league-worst 41.2 percent shooting. Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading the Bucks with 30.1 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. Khris Middleton is adding 19.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per contest.
Nets drop two straight
Brooklyn has lost back-to-back games to the Jazz and 76ers coming into today’s contest. The Nets are 18-22 on the season, 11-9 at home, 18-22 against the spread and 20-19-1 with the under.
Brooklyn is giving up 111.4 points per game this season while opponents shoot 43.6 percent from the field. Offensively, the Nets are putting up 109.6 points per game while shooting 44.2 percent from the floor. Brooklyn is going to be without Joe Harris, Garrett Temple and DeAndre Jordan. They combine for 32.5 points per game for the Nets. Kyrie Irving just returned from injury and is averaging 27.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. Spencer Dinwiddie is adding 22.1 points and 6.5 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 road games and 8-1 ATS in their last 9 Saturday games.
Brooklyn
The Nets are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games as a home underdog and 2-5 ATS in their last seven Saturday games.
Prediction:
These two haven’t met this season. The Nets got Irving back, but it hasn’t helped much. They have double-digit losses to the Jazz and 76ers upon his return. Tonight, Brooklyn is without a lot of key pieces against a Milwaukee team that has the ability to score in bunches and also can defend. I don’t think Irving can carry the Nets by himself against the Bucks tonight. Milwaukee should overwhelm Brooklyn quickly and cover this spread.
NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks -9
