According to the latest oddsmakers, the Thunder are the slime favorite, as they are getting odds of -1.5 points against the Heat. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 216 points. The public betting currently has 69 percent going on Oklahoma City as the home favorite. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Heat struggling on the road

Miami is coming off a 106-100 win at home over San Antonio, but the Heat have lost four of their last five road games. Miami is 28-12 on the season, 10-11 on the road, 23-15-2 against the spread and 24-15-1 with the over.

The Heat are steady on both sides of the ball. The defense is allowing just 107.8 points per game while holding opponents to 44.5 percent shooting from the field and 32.6 percent from the arc. Offensively, Miami is putting up 111.6 points per game while shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from the arc. Jimmy Butler is leading the team with 20.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game. Bam Adebayo is adding 15.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest.

Thunder beat up by Raptors

Oklahoma City is coming off a 130-121 loss at home to Toronto on Wednesday. The Thunder have lost their last two games at home. OKC is 23-18 on the season, 13-8 at home, 27-14 against the spread and 22-19 with the under.

The Thunder are putting up 109.4 points per game this season on offense while shooting 46.7 percent as a team. Defensively, Oklahoma City is giving up 107.9 points per game while opponents shoot just 45.6 percent against them. Oklahoma City is led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is averaging 20.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Danilo Gallinari is adding 18.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

The Heat are 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games and 5-13 ATS in their last 18 Friday games.

Oklahoma City

The Thunder have covered the spread in six straight Friday games and in 12 of their last 16 following a failed cover.

This is the first meeting between these two teams right now. Oklahoma City has been playing well for weeks, but has slipped up a few times at home as of late. However, I expect that to change tonight against a Miami team that has really struggled on the road since the New Year. They have not been solid defensive and their offense has come up short as well. I expect Oklahoma City to play a physical style that will keep Miami from really hitting its stride offensively.

NBA Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder -1.5
