According to the latest oddsmakers, the Pistons are the favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -4 points against the Bulls. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 217 points. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Bulls continue slide

Chicago is coming off a 116-105 loss at home to Indiana last night for a sixth consecutive loss. The Bulls are 0-5-1 against the spread during this losing streak as well. Chicago is 13-26 on the season, 6-12 on the road, 18-20-1 against the spread and 20-19 with the over.

The Bulls have struggled offensively this year, scoring just 105.8 points per game while shooting 43.2 percent as a team. Defensively, Chicago is giving up 107.9 points per game while opponents shoot 46 percent against them. Wendell Carter Jr. remains out for the Bulls due to an ankle injury. Zach LaVine is leading the team with 24.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game, while Lauri Markkanen is adding 15.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest.

Pistons upset at home

Detroit is coming off a 115-112 OT loss at home to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Pistons are just 2-5 straight up and against the spread in their last seven. The Pistons are 14-25 on the season, 8-11 at home, 14-24-1 against the spread and 23-16 with the over.

The Pistons are putting up 108.5 points per game this season while shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 37.2 percent from the arc. Defensively, Detroit is allowing 111.2 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 47.5 percent against them. Injuries have piled up for Detroit. Blake Griffin, Luke Kennard, Makieff Morris and Reggie Jackson remain out indefinitely. Andre Drummond is leading the team with 17.8 points and 16.2 rebounds per game while Derrick Rose is adding 17.8 points and 5.7 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

The Bulls are 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five games as an underdog and 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss.

The Pistons are just 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 games overall and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games following a loss.

The Bulls have had Detroit’s number this year, winning all three meetings while covering the spread in all three as well. The Pistons are banged-up and haven’t shown a lot of consistency this year. It’s hard to trust Detroit as a favorite right now given their lack of scoring. Drummond is the most impactful player in tonight’s game, but his motivation is always questionable. Chicago has done a good job of defending the Pistons while seeing a boost in production against the Pistons sluggish D. I think that will happen again tonight.

NBA Prediction: Chicago Bulls +4
