Pacers end win streak
The Indiana Pacers had their 6-game win streak come to an end on Sunday in a 121-105 loss at Toronto. The Pacers have failed to cover in three straight games. Indiana is 26-13 overall this season with a 12-8 record on the road, a 21-18 record against the spread and a 22-17 record with the under.
Indiana has the league’s best defense, as the Pacers are giving up just 101.9 points per game while holding opponents to 43.9 percent shooting. Offensively, Indiana is putting up 107.7 points per game while shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from the arc. The team is a little beat up as center Myles Turner and guards Cory Joseph and Darren Collison are each questionable tonight. Victor Oladipo is leading the team with 20.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game while Bojan Bogdanovic is adding 16.3 points per game.
Cavs continue to get dominated
Cleveland is riding a 9-game losing streak right now after a 133-98 loss at home to the Pelicans on Saturday. The Cavs have failed to cover in three straight games as well. Cleveland is 8-32 overall, 5-16 at home, 18-22 against the spread and 20-19-1 with the under.
The Cavs are struggling on offense this season, averaging just 101.6 points per game while shooting 44.1 percent from the field. Defensively, the Cavs are giving up 112.1 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 49 percent from the field. Rodney Hood is out for tonight’s game due to an Achilles injury. Jordan Clarkson is leading the team with 16.9 points per game while Tristan Thompson is adding 11.8 points and 11.3 rebounds per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Indiana
The Pacers are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a losing home record.
Cleveland
The Cavs are just 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games against a team with a winning record and 9-26-1 ATS in their last 36 games following a double-digit loss at home.
Prediction:
Indiana is coming off a loss to the Raptors, but I think the Pacers should be able to bounce back just fine tonight. Cleveland is a mess right now. During this nine-game losing streak, seven have been by double digits. Their last three have been by at least 25 points. Indiana’s defense should further add to the Cleveland’s offensive woes while the Indiana offense gets a lot of high-percentage looks at the basket.
NBA Prediction: Indiana Pacers -10
