Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Bucks are 6-point favorites to beat the Raptors. The total, meanwhile, sits at 222.5 points and as of this writing, 51% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Bucks to cover the point spread.
Toronto Raptors Fantasy Spin
Kyle Lowry (back) is doubtful for Saturday’s game vs. the Bucks. Lowry has missed each of the Raptors last five games and nine of their last ten. It seemed there was a chance he’d suit up on Thursday after he was upgraded to questionable; however, he was ruled out shortly thereafter. Fred VanVleet will continue to start at point guard while Lowry is sidelined.
Milwaukee Bucks Fantasy Spin
Giannis Antetokounmpo needed just 19 minutes to post 16 points, eight rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and two blocks during a 114-112 win over the Hawks on Friday. He was well on his way to a monster game, but the Bucks had this game in the bag from the start. They were up 43-14 in the first for the largest first-quarter lead in franchise history, and their 118 points through three is the second most this season. This efficient stat line is more about the Hawks, but either way Giannis putting up this strong game in 19 minutes shows his nightly upside.
NBA Betting Trends
Toronto
The over is 5-2 in the Raptors’ last seven games overall 4-1 in their last five games versus a team with a winning straight up record.
Milwaukee
The over is 4-1 in the Bucks’ last five home games but the under is 10-4 in their last 14 games when playing on no rest.
Prediction
The Raptors have struggled at the betting window of late, dropping five of their last six games against the spread and all six on the road. They’re also 0-4 against the number in their last four Eastern Conference matchups and are 1-4 against the spread in their last five meetings with the Bucks. On the other side, Milwaukee has covered five straight overall, four straight at home and six straight when its opponent allows 100 points or more in its previous game.
