Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Wizards are 6-point favorites to beat the Hawks. The total, meanwhile, sits at 230 points and as of this writing, 65% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Wizards to cover the point spread.
Atlanta Hawks Fantasy Spin
Taurean Prince (left ankle) will remain on the sidelines for Wednesday’s game in Washington. Lloyd Pierce was quoted on Dec. 26 saying that Prince was still “a ways away,” and there’s been no change on that front, with Prince still not even able to go through low-impact activity. The 11-25 Hawks will be in no rush to bring him back, and with both Prince and Kent Bazemore (ankle) watching from the sidelines on Wednesday, Kevin Huerter and DeAndre Bembry will get all the run they can handle. Daniel Hamilton could get another start, but that doesn’t mean much in fantasy hoops.
Washington Wizards Fantasy Spin
Otto Porter (right knee) will play on Wednesday against the Hawks. He’ll be returning from a three-week absence, so he could be dealing with a bit of a minutes limit tonight, but his return will cut into Jeff Green’s playing time. Porter hasn’t been great this season, but he could see more shots falling his way with John Wall (heel) done for the year. He’s not a great DFS target, but season-long owners shouldn’t hesitate to get him active.
NBA Betting Trends
Atlanta
The Hawks have covered four straight on the road and five of their last seven overall.
Washington
The Wizards are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games overall and 1-8 ATS in their last nine conference matchups.
Prediction
The point spread looks spot on but I do feel like there’s value in the total. The under has cashed in all four of the last four meetings between these two teams when the game is played in Washington. The under is also 4-1 in the Wizards’ last five conference matchups and is 11-5-1 in their last 17 games when facing an opponent with a win percentage below .400. On the other side, the under is 28-9 in the Hawks’ last 37 games coming off an ATS win and is 36-17 in their last 53 games versus an opponent with a winning percentage below .400.
Wednesday NBA Prediction: Hawks/Wizards under 230
