Consumers Energy 400 Predictions
We have been able to hit on the winning driver in the last two NASCAR Monster Energy Series races. Can we get three straight with today’s Consumers Energy 400. Here’s the drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick are the co-favorites today, as each has 5/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano, who each have 6/1 odds. The Consumers Energy 400 is set to take place today at 3PM ET from Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan.
52102 Kevin Harvick 5/1
Harvick is the defending champion of this race and has a strong history at Michigan International Speedway. He has won twice at the track over his career with 12 top-5 finishes. His average finish over his career at MIS is 11.9, while his driver rating there is 98.7, which ranks second in today’s field. Harvick has been picking up steam after his first win of the year a few weeks ago. I think he can grab another victory today.
52105 Brad Keselowski 6/1
Every time NASCAR heads to Michigan, I expect Keselowski to get his first win on his home track. It hasn’t happened as of yet, but I think it could happen today. Despite being winless there, Keselowski is always in the mix for a victory. He has an average finish of 11.6 at MIS and was sixth there earlier this year and second in this race last year. This is definitely a race Keselowski wants on his career-victories list. He should be a top contender today.
52108 Kyle Larson 16/1
If you are looking for a little bit longer odds for a driver today, Larson should be your man. He is a two-time winner of this race and a three-time winner at MIS over his short career. In his 11 races at MIS, Larson has a driver rating of 96.3, which is one of the best in today’s field. Larson also needs the win, as he is hovering near the cut line for the postseason and is winless on the year. If Larson is going to get a win, this seems like his best chance.
