ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (AP) The Latest on the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Road America (all times local):
4:05 p.m.
NASCAR Hall of Famer Bill Elliott is driving around with a banged-up car at Road America.
The nose and hood were apparently damaged after a restart early in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at the 14-turn road course.
The 62-year-old Elliott came out of retirement to run his first race at Road America. He is in 12th place going into the race’s third stage after starting 23rd.
Pole-sitter Matt Tifft has the lead with 15 laps to go in the 45-lap race. Tifft won Stage 1, while Daniel Hemric took the second stage.

Conor Daly’s No. 6 Ford got a new color scheme at the last minute at Road America.
The Roush Fenway Racing driver is behind the wheel of a relatively simple black and green car in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race in rural Wisconsin. He was initially supposed to drive a car painted bright red and white that was sponsored by Lilly Diabetes.
The change was made after Lilly dropped its sponsorship on Friday.
It was an unexpected distraction for Daly’s debut weekend in NASCAR. The IndyCar driver is in 15th place after the first stage, 10 laps into the 45-lap race, after starting in 17th.
Pole-sitter Matt Tifft is the Stage 1 winner. The race has already been slowed by two caution flags for a spin-outs on the 14-turn course.

The green flag is out for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Road America.

The Xfinity race takes top billing this weekend in NASCAR with an off week on the Cup circuit.

Matt Tifft will start from the pole for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Road America after posting a top qualifying speed of 109.307 mph.
Tifft picked up his first pole of the season driving the No. 2 Ford Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing around the 4-mile-long, 14-turn road course. Tifft led on the next-to-last lap in last year’s race before spinning out and falling to third. Cole Custer will start second while James Davison will start third.
