Stewart even had 20/1 odds to win the title coming into the Chase for the Championship, but he won half of the races in the chase to claim the title.

In regards to Sunday, Stewart found himself in 40th place at one point in the race, but he fought his way back up the track and managed to hold off Edwards over the final 17 laps to claim the race win and Sprint Cup Championship.
