Keselowski wins Sprint Cup

HOMESTEAD, FL (TheSpread) – Jeff Gordon managed to win the Ford EcoBoost 400 on Sunday, but it was Brad Keselowski that was the day’s big winner, as he won the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship.

View Current NASCAR Odds

Keselowski was able to win the Sprint Cup Championship with a 15th-place finish while Jimmie Johnson had car trouble late and had to send his ride to the garage, eliminating any late-race drama for the title. Johnson finished 36th on the day and ended up third in the final point standings, 40 points behind Keselowski

In a bit of irony Gordon finished ahead of Clint Bowyer in Sunday’s race. Those two got involved in a team brawl after Gordon wrecked Bowyer late in last week’s race.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Gordon had 15/1 odds to win this race, which means a wager of $100 on Gordon to win will pay out an additional $1,500.

When it came to the Sprint Cup Championship, Keselowski had 10/1 odds to win this year’s title when the season was getting set to begin, that means a wager of $100 on him to win it all will pay out an additional $1,000. Keselowski entered the 10-race Chase for the Championship with 9/1 odds to win the title.
