DOVER, DE (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series holds its final race of the first stage of the Chase today, with the AAA 400. Here is a look at free picks for this race.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Jimmie Johnson is favored, as he has 7/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Kevin Harvick (4/1), Brad Keselowski (9/2) and Jeff Gordon (7/1).

Here are three drivers we like today:

Jimmie Johnson 7/2

Johnson has owned this track. He is a nine-time winner at Dover with an average finish of 8.4 and a driver rating of 122.5. Given that 2014 hasn’t quite been as strong of a year for Johnson as usual, a win on Sunday would quickly put him into title contention. He will start eighth and likely be up front early.

Kevin Harvick 4/1

Harvick has the pole position once again and he is currently third in the standings. He has had some strong runs as of late, but been unable to get the wins. This week could be different, as he will be eager to earn his first victory at Dover in his career. Look for him to be a strong threat.

Live Long Shot

Aric Almirola 200/1

Almirola is in need of a win today to advance to the next stage of the postseason. He qualified for the Chase, but a 41st-place finish two weeks ago hurt his chances of moving on past Sunday. He is coming off a sixth-place finish last week and has a win on the year, so it’s not out of the question for him to find a way to win. His average finish at this track is 15.4, but his desperate situation will cause him to be aggressive today.
