RICHMOND, VA (TheSpread) – David Reutimann won the pole during Friday’s qualifying for the Wonderful Pistachios 400 and he will now start up front on Saturday night.

According to oddsmakers, Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson are the favorites to win the race with 5/1 odds each. Other short odds to win are Denny Hamlin (7/1) and Jeff Gordon (7/1).

Busch is second in the point standings, 21 points out of first. He has a series-high four wins and 13 top 5’s on the year. Busch has three wins and 11 top 5’s at Richmond. His driver rating is just 88.7, which ranks 10th amongst active drivers. He will start third on Saturday.

Hamlin will start 28th on Saturday. He is currently 12th in the point standings and holding the final wild card spot in the chase. Hamlin has one win and four top 5’s on the year. Hamlin holds two wins and six top 5’s at this track. His average finish at Richmond is 7.5 and he has the top driver rating at the track of 120.4.

Gordon is fifth in the point standings. He has three wins on the year and nine top 5’s. He sits 43 points out of first. Gordon has two wins at Richmond with six top 5’s. His average finish here is 14.8 while his driver rating is 97.8, which ranks fifth in the series. Gordon qualified 17th for the race.
