NASCAR Truck Series Picks – Careers for Veterans 200 8/27/16

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series kicks off the auto racing weekend this afternoon for the Careers for Veterans 200. Here are the drivers we like to win.

According to oddsmakers at, William Byron is the favorite to win this race, as he has +175 odds. Other short odds to win are Matt Crafton (+400) and Johnny Sauter (+500). The Careers for Veterans 200 takes place today at 1:19PM ET from Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI.

Bet on the Careers for Veterans 200

William Byron is having a great debut season in the truck series and it can continue today. He has five wins on the year with another pair of top-5 finishes. He has won four of the last seven races and I think he will make a strong run at the win today.

Johnny Sauter is the 2014 winner of this race and he finished fourth in this race last year. Look for him to have another strong run today. He has one win already with seven top-5 finishes. Sauter is consistently near the front of the pack. Now he just needs a move or two to get the win.

John Hunter Nemechek is listed at +1200 to win. There could be some value there, as he has experience at Michigan, which isn’t something many in this race have. He also has a win to his credit this year and two runner-up finishes. Nemechek seems like a good dark horse to win today.
