2011 nascar sprint cup series results kyle busch pure michigan 400

BROOKLYN, MI (TheSpread) – Kyle Busch needed a win to get the lead in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and that is just what he got, as he prevailed in the Pure Michigan 400.

Busch finished ahead of Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski to get the victory and become the first drive to clinch a spot in the Chase for the Championship.

According to oddsmakers, Busch had odds of 8/1 to win the race, meaning a wager of $100 on Busch to win will pay out an additional $800.

Busch now has four wins on the year, most of any driver. His victory combined with a 36th-place finish from Carl Edwards, puts Busch in the lead of the point standings by 10 over Johnson. Edwards falls back into fourth place, 39 points out of first.
