Pocono Mountains 125 Odds
LONG POND, PA (TheSpread) – The 2012 Camping World Truck Series will be the first to get a crack at Pocono Raceway this weekend as the Pocono Mountains 125 takes place on Saturday.
This race is just in its third year of existence. According to oddsmakers, Sprint Cup driver Denny Hamlin is the favorite to win this race, as he has 5/6 odds to win. Other short odds are James Buescher and Timothy Peters, who each have 7/1 odds to win.
Hamlin has not competed in a truck series race this year. In his career, he has competed in 14 truck races and won just one time. His average finish in his career in the series is 11.8.
Buescher is fourth in the point standings. He is 35 points behind Peters for first. Buescher has three wins on the year, most of any truck series driver, to go along with five top 5’s and six top 10’s.
Peters is the points leader. He is 23 points in front of the next driver for the lead. Peters has just one win this year, but has a series-best seven top 5’s and nine top 10’s on the year.
