SONOMA, CA (TheSpread) – Joey Logano picked up the pole for Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 and he will start up front on the first road race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Season.

The pole was the first of the year for Logano. He now has 20/1 odds to win Sunday’s race, but according to oddsmakers at online sports book Bodog, Marcos Ambrose is the heavy favorite to win this event with 2/1 odds. Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon are the other short odds to win with 10/1 odds.

Ambrose has never won this event and this is his first Sprint Cup race of the season. He has one top 5 and two top 10’s at Infineon. His average finish there is 17th while his driver rating is 108.4, which ranks third amongst drivers. He will start eighth on Sunday.

Johnson qualified 12th for Sunday’s race while Gordon will start 13th. Johnson is fifth in the point standings, he has one win and five top 5’s on the year while Gordon is 12th in the standings. He has two wins and five top 5’s on the year.

At Infineon, Gordon has five wins and 11 top 5’s. His average finish at the track is 9.1 and his driver rating is 100.2. For Johnson, he has one win at Infineon and an average finish of 15.6 and a driver rating of 91.7.
