Michigan International Speedway is in Detroit's backyard so that means all of the car manufacturers will be tuned in as they want their make and model to visit victory lane.

Michigan International Speedway is a 2-mile, D-shaped oval.  It has 18 degrees of banking in the corners, 12 degrees on the front stretch, and 5 degrees on the backstretch. It’s often compared to Auto Club Speedway, since they are the same distance and shape. Michigan International Speedway is known for giving us some pretty boring races with long green runs and very little passing. It might be the one track where fuel mileage is just as important as how the car handles.

Carl Edwards 5/1

Edwards leads all active drivers with an average finish of 6.3 in 13 career starts at Michigan.  In addition to a pair of wins, Edwards has finished no worse than 12th at Michigan. Michigan International Speedway is the type of track that Roush Racing has dominated over the years and Jack Roush loves winning here since the bosses from Ford will be on hand. We look for Carl to bounce back this week with a convincing win.

Matt Kenseth 10/1

During the past 10 seasons, Kenseth has two wins and 18 top-15 finishes in 20 starts. The most impressive thing about those 20 starts is he has 10 top-5 finishes, which is as consistent as you will ever see. If Edwards isn't on top of his game, look for Kenseth to pick up the slack and pick up another win this Sunday.

Live Longshot

Kurt Busch 16/1

Kurt Busch almost pulled off the upset for us last week and we see no reason not to ride the hottest driver in NASCAR right now at a very nice price. Busch has always performed well on this type of track and though his stats aren't that impressive here, he does have two wins and numerous victories at tracks similar to Michigan. We look for Busch to keep his hot streak alive and maybe get his first win after a few near misses over the last few weeks.
