Kurt Busch Wins Pole for Dips 400
(The Spread) – The qualifying has wrapped up for the 2011 Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 and for the third consecutive week, Kurt Busch will be on the pole.
With a lap of 38.156 seconds at 188.699 mph, Kurt Busch won the pole for Sunday’s Heulva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400. The last time a driver won three consecutive poles was when Brian Vickers accomplished the feat in 2009. It was also Busch’s second pole in 21 races at Michigan International Speedway.
David Reuitmann and his No. 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota posted his fourth top-10 start of 2011 and his fourth in nine races at Michigan International Speedway. He’ll start second on Sunday and alongside Busch in the front row.
Matt Kenseth qualified for the third spot and posted his fourth top-10 start at Michigan International Speedway. It was also his fourth top-10 start in 15 races this season. Brian Vickers wills tart fourth and Regan Smith will start fifth.
Tony Stewart (sixth), Greg Biffle (seventh), Kasey Kahne (eighth), Paul Menard (ninth) and Denny Hamlin (tenth) round out the rest of the top-10 for Sunday’s race. For a complete list of qualifying results for the 2011 Heulva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400, see below.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have updated the odds for Sunday’s race and Kurt Busch is now the favorite at 7/1. When the odds opened earlier this week, Carl Edwards was favored at 5/1 but now he’s 8/1 along with Greg Biffle and Jimmie Johnson.
Dale Earnhardt. Jr. and Denny Hamlin are both 10/1, respectively, while Tony Stewart is 12/1 and Kyle Busch is 15/1. For a complete list of odds for all of Sunday’s contenders, see below.
The 2011 Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 will take place on Sunday, June 19 at 1:16PM ET. Coverage will begin on TNT at 12:00PM ET and the action will take place at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan.
