Kahne wins pole at MIS

BROOKLYN, MI (TheSpread) – Kasey Kahne claimed the pole for Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400. How has this impacted the odds for this NASCAR race?

According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Kahne now has 10/1 odds to win the race. Kevin Harvick is still the favorite at 3/1 while Jimmie Johnson has 7/1 odds and Brad Keselowski had 9/1 odds. The Quicken Loans 400 takes place on Sunday, June 14 at 1:16PM ET from Michigan International Speedway.

Harvick is the current points leader by 39 on the field. He is a two-time winner with 10 top-2 finishes on the year. Harvick is a one-time winner at Michigan with an average finish of 13.0 and a driver rating of 90.2 at this track. Harvick will start second on Sunday.

Johnson is third in the standings, 78 points out of first. He has a series-best four wins this year to go with nine top 5s. Surprisingly, Johnson has never won at Michigan’s track. His average finish there is 16.8, while his driver rating is 101.4, which ranks fourth in the series. He qualified eighth for this race.

Keselowski is starting from the third spot at his home track. He is currently sixth in the point standings, 118 points out of first. Keselowski has one win and three top 5s in the 2015 season. He has never won at Michigan and his average finish there is 14.8, while his driver rating is 89.0
