KANSAS CITY, KS (TheSpread) – Kurt Busch found himself leading the pack for Sunday’s NASCAR STP 400 after he won the pole in Saturday afternoon’s qualifying session.

According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bodog Carl Edwards is the favorite to win the race with 9/2 odds to win while other shorts odds to win are Kyle Busch (6/1) and Greg Biffle (9/1).

Edwards will start seventh on Sunday. Edwards is winless at this track and he has an average finish of 12.3 while his driver rating at Kansas is 94.8. Edwards is leading the point standings by 36 points. He had one win and six top 5’s on the year.

Busch ended up qualifying third for the race. He is winless at Kansas and also doesn’t have a top 5 in any of his seven appearances there. Busch has an average finish of 23.9 at the track while his driver rating is 74.9. Busch sits fifth in the standings. He has two wins and six top 5’s on the year, but also has three DNF’s.

Biffle will start from the 14th position. Biffle has two wins in his career at Kansas with a series-best driver rating of 122.6 and an average finish of 8.1. Biffle is 11th in the point standings. He has one top 5 on the year.
