2011 nascar sprint cup results coca-cola 600 kevin harvick

CONCORD, NC (TheSpread) – Kevin Harvick took advantage of a little luck to win the 2011 Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday night, the longest race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Season.

A late restart came when Jimmie Johnson blew an engine with six laps to go. After the restart, Dale Earnhardt Jr. jumped out to a big lead, taking the white flag. As Dale Jr. came toward the finish line, he ran out of gas, allowing a group, led by Harvick, to pass him at the finish. Earnhardt Jr. ended up finishing seventh.

According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bodog.com, Harvick had 12/1 odds to win the race, meaning a $100 wager on Harvick will pay out an additional $1,200.

Harvick now has three wins on the year, most of any drive. The pre-race favorites, Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards, came in 32nd and 16th respectively.
