Johnson won the first of four 20-lap segments in Saturday’s to set himself up well for the final 10 lap shootout. He had the front spot during the final shootout and never looked back, beating out Brad Keselowski for first place and the $1 million prize.

According to oddsmakers, Johnson had 6/1 odds to win this race, which means a $100 wager on him will pay out an additional $600.

Johnson and Keselowski each won a segment, along with Matt Kenseth and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Kenseth finished third and Dale Jr. was fifth.

Jr. also won the Sprint Showdown to get himself into the All-Star race. It doesn’t count as an official win, but may give Earnhardt some momentum heading into the Coca-Cola 600 next Sunday night.
