Sprint Showdown Odds
CONCORD, NC (TheSpread) – Prior to the Sprint All-Star race, drivers that haven’t qualified will have a chance to do so in the Sprint Showdown.
This 40-lap race is broken up into two segments and the top-two finishers will qualify for the Sprint All-Star Race later that night.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com Dale Earnhardt Jr. is favored to win the race with 3/1 odds to win while last year’s winner, Martin Truex Jr. has 5/1 odds and Jeff Burton has 6/1 odds.
Earnhardt Jr. hasn’t qualified for the All-Star because he hasn’t won in such a long time, but he still is fourth in the current season standings. He has two top 5’s and five top 10’s on the year.
Truex Jr. won last year’s race. He is 19th in the standings and has three top 10’s on the year.
Burton has struggled this year, as he sits 23rd in the point standings. Burton has no top 10’s all year and two DNF’s.
The Sprint Showdown will take place Saturday, May 21 from Charlotte Motor Speedway at 7:30PM ET. For complete odds and track information on this year’s event, see below.
