DOVER, Del. (TheSpread) – Qualifying for the 2011 FedEx 400 was rained out so the field has been set by practice times and Jimmie Johnson will start up front for Sunday’s race.

According to oddsmakers at online sports book Johnson is now the favorite to win the race with 5/2 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch (6/1), Carl Edwards (7/1), and Kurt Busch (10/1).

Johnson won this race in 2009 and 2002. Johnson is second in the point standings, 23 behind Edwards. Johnson has one win and four top 5’s on the year. Johnson has won six times at Dover and has an average finish of 9.7 at this track with a driver rating of 116.3.

Kyle Busch will start seventh on Sunday. Busch won this race two of the last three years, winning in 2010 and 2008. Busch is third in the point standings, 39 points behind Edwards for first. Busch has two wins and five top 5’s this year, but also has two DNF’s. At Dover, Busch has two wins with six top 5’s. His average finish is 14.7 while his driver rating at the track is 102.8.

Edwards is the points leader and he has one victory and six top 5’s and eight top 10’s this season. Edwards has one win in his career at Dover and has an average finish of 7.7 at this track with a driver rating of 103.1. Edwards will start in the 13th position for Sunday’s race.

Kurt Busch will start sixth on Sunday. He currently sits eighth in the point standings, 72 outside of first. Kurt Busch has just one top 5 but 5 top 10’s this year.  Busch has not won at Dover, but has five top 5’s in his career there. His average finish is 18.9 at this track and his driver rating is 96.8, which ranks seventh amongst drivers.
