TALLADEGA, AL (TheSpread) – The 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series heads to the fast track of Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday for the running of the Aaron’s 312.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, Tony Stewart is the favorite to win this race with 5/2 odds while other short odds to win are Kyle Busch (9/2) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (6/1).
Stewart won this event in 2008 and he won the only other Nationwide race he has driven in this year. Stewart has won three of his last five Nationwide races altogether.
Busch has three wins in six Nationwide races this year and he has won in 35 of his last 100 Nationwide races. Busch has an average finish of 12.3 in the Nationwide series this year.
Dale Jr. won this event in 2003 and he has finished in the top 5 in both his Nationwide starts this year. He has 10 career wins in 46 starts, but has just one win over the last five years.
