Last year’s pole sitter Juan Pablo Montoya came in 10th. The pole sitter has never captured this race in the 15-year history.
Kenseth won here in 2006, 2007 and 2009. In 2006, he led four times for a total of 40 laps. He won it for a third time in 2009. Last year, he finished 4th and finished 7th in 2010.
Harvick won the race last year and came in second the year before. He finished last season with four wins and 19 top-10 finishes but placed 12th in the points race. This year, he second, just nine points back. There were 18 lead changes among 10 drives during the 200-lap race. Kyle Busch dominated, leading 5 times for 151 laps and Jimmie Johnson led for laps 198 and 199. But Harvick outdueled them both to get his 15th career win. He did lose in 2010 to Johnson, who took the lead with 24 laps remaining and held on.
